Fort Totten Officers' Club, aka, The Castle
Beginning in 2024, BHS staff and volunteers will offer guided tours of The Castle and its exhibitions on the second Sunday of each month from 1pm-3pm. Admission is free, but we ask that you reserve a spot in advance by selecting a date below and filling out the online event RSVP. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long.
The Castle is one of the finest surviving examples in New York City of the Gothic Revival castellated style architecture. Completed in 1887, the building served as the base Officers’ Mess Hall and Club for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers School of Application. Come in and find out more about this architectural treasure in Bayside.
