Volunteers

Bayside Historical Society offers volunteer opportunities to both young people and adults in the community. In addition, local schools, civic and religious organizations are also able to provide volunteer services to BHS.

Volunteer responsibilities vary, but may include assisting with set-up/tear-down of programs and events, assisting teachers during onsite educational programs, greeting the public, managing ticket sales, seating patrons, and other duties as directed.  The primary goal of the volunteer program is to support the mission of BHS as a learning destination, a resource for researchers and the community, and a venue for the visual and performing arts

Volunteers are welcome to participate in all programming and events. All volunteers are asked to identify their personal interests and preferences to facilitate assignments that are most satisfying. Every attempt will be made to assign volunteers to the type of projects and activities that most interest them. All volunteers, upon acceptance into the program, will be given a full orientation as to the policies and procedures of BHS.

Please contact the office at info@baysidehistorical.org or 718-352-1548 if you are interested in volunteering.
