Yoga Classes
Sessions: Mondays from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm. The cost is $15 per session. Walk-ins OK.

Join Stephanie, a Certified Yoga Teacher, on Mondays at the Castle for a gentle yoga class that includes some light weight training. This class is geared toward students over 50. If your doctor has cleared you to do light exercise, this is the class for you!  Stephanie offers a very personal class, focusing on body issues that older adults have developed over the years. She modifies poses to meet the needs of her students in a safe, non-judgmental, fun, positive community class that leaves them feeling energized, relaxed, happy and ready to face the world. There will be specific exercises for balance, flexibility, strength and endurance. It is an ideal way to rejuvenate the body and revitalize the mind. Please bring your own mats and 2-3 lb. weights.

A few notes:

  • All classes begin at 12 noon, with doors open for registration at 11:30am. Please bring either exact change or a check made out to Bayside Historical Society to ensure a smooth registration process.

  • Each participant will be required to sign a waiver at their first class.

  • In the interest of health and safety,  we will continue provide straps and blocks but will no longer provide mats. If you do not have a mat, we intend to give ours away to attendees who wish to take one.  Mat wipes and sanitizer will be available for your use.
