The Bayside Historical Society is pleased to present another lively dance-themed Passport Concert in our ballroom. Dance instructors Raquel Rubio and Brian Dumaual of Art2BeHuman will perform the irresistible rhythms of Brazilian Forró, then get everyone up and moving with a fun, beginner-friendly group class. No experience, no partner, no problem! Learn a few basic steps while discovering the story behind this joyful partner dance — born in northeastern Brazil in the late 19th century, Forró blends music, movement, and community, and it's just as alive and beloved today as it was then.

This event is part of Bayside Historical Society's "Passport Concert Series:  Bringing Cultures from Around the World to the Castle at Bayside." Music is culture expressed through sound.
