Independence Day Celebration at Fort Totten Park

Tuesday, June 27, 2023 ~ Rain Date: Wednesday, June 28, 2023

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics for an evening of community fun! Bayside Historical Society is hosting the 6th Annual Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, with a free concert and fireworks display by Grucci in Fort Totten Park. Vending trucks will be on site with a wide variety of delicious foods, snacks, and beverages including roasted corn and fresh lemonade, funnel cakes, sausage & peppers, fish & chips, gyros, and corn dogs. This is a non-alcohol event. All bags, coolers, backpacks, etc. will be inspected before entering the park.

 

Limited parking will be available outside of Fort Totten in designated lots and streets (see more information below). Pedaling, walking, swimming, skating, or busing to the event is encouraged! Admittance will begin at 5:00pm.

Parking Options

Parking will be available at the Little Bay Parking Lot (handicap accessible), underneath the Throgs Neck Bridge, along Bell Boulevard west of Fort Totten, and along Utopia Parkway. 

Off-site parking with shuttle bus access will be available at the Clearview Golf Course (beginning at 5pm) and the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. Shuttles provided by Vallo Transportation will bring guests to and from these locations beginning at 6pm.
