Lawrence Cemetery Cleanup
Lawrence Cemetery Cleanup
October 11, 2020

The Lawrence Cemetery has taken a beating from recent storms, including the loss of a mature and very large tree that crushed a section of the 42nd Avenue side of the fence. On Sunday morning, members the Knight of Columbus from Pope Pius Post on Bell Blvd did an amazing job in Phase One of the cleanup. They came with tools and chain saws to cut the tree, cleared beer bottles and other debris, and replaced the vandalized lock on the 216th Street gate. In Phase Two they will repair the fence, which thankfully was only pushed to the ground and is still in one piece, and remove the rest of the tree. BHS thanks and salutes these community minded volunteers for their hard work!
